Los 5 Puntos De Los Empleos De Microsoft

(1/2) > >>

Number 5 … People are more attractive than they thought! Yes, it's true.  Not all Microsoft employees don’t care about their appearance; some even DRESS UP for work!! (Of course, they are the marketing and finance people, but nonetheless, interns are pleasantly surprised!)

Number 4 … Microsoft employees aren’t lazy!! Yes, with a gym onsite that employees are encouraged to use even during the work day, MS folks are surprisingly fit.  Living in the beautiful Northwest with all of our outdoor activities sure helps a little as well.  People are in good shape.

Number 3 … Some of the developers are social AND funny.  I know that people have a perception that when someone works on computers, they automatically lose any social skills.  Interns have been surprised that some of the hard core techies are chatty and hilarious!!  Don’t get me wrong though ... some of the stereotypes are true. :)

Number 2 … Not everyone is a developer.  At Microsoft, we have many types of employees, and that includes non development jobs. The cafes and hallways are filled with marketing, finance, sales, hr, business and manager types. There are numerous types of jobs and all range in technical scope. Weird, I know!

And the Number 1 intern myth shattered after working here for 3 months is …
Employees use non-Microsoft products and won’t be fired for it.  I know, I know.  It’s a scary thought, but Bill Gates does allow iPods on the premise … There are all types of non MS products that employees like, and you won’t get fired for saying so! Employees are encouraged to be passionate about technology, not just brainwashed into only drinking Microsoft’s Kool-Aid.  One word of advice that I learned the hard way … when in a meeting, don’t share with the team that “Maybe we should just Google it and we can find the answer.” The word “search" works just fine. :)
