Cito las partes que me parecen mas relevantes:

Como vemos es un "poco" anterior al comienzo del Kernel Linux y XENIX es (era en realidad) un S.O. completo (UNIX) y no una distribucion o un Kernel.
"When Microsoft entered into an agreement with IBM to develop OS/2, it lost interest in promoting Xenix. In 1987 Microsoft transferred ownership of Xenix to SCO in an agreement that left Microsoft owning 25% of SCO."

Como vemos era una de las versiones de UNIX con mas maquinas del mundo y Microsoft perdio interes al comenzar a desarrollar el proyecto que culminaria con NT.

Ahi no dice ni que Microsoft haya comprado Corel ni Corel Linux ... es mas, esa distribucion fue vendida y se sigue produciendo bajo otro nombre.

Why would Microsoft want to sell that piece off? On the other hand, Microsoft may convince Corel that the company could make enough money just working on Microsoft-based products and doesn't need the Linux division at all.
